Second Briefing: How well do you know your Armenian?

Second briefing is now behind us!  All 8 GOLD teams gathered together over the weekend to share ideas, training and lots of GOLD love.

We assembled on Friday night and had some time to catch up, and, more importantly, eat.  Food is a major part of any GOLD briefing.  It’s always yummy and you never have chance to feel hungry before the next meal or snack is served up by the fantastic cooks.  The cooks are volunteers who’ve been on GOLD before and I’m not sure how they manage to dish up such deliciousness for 51 people.

Saturday morning kicked off with breakfast, naturally, and then each team took it in turns to do a presentation about their country.  We learned loads about the other projects who are heading off to Guyana, Latvia, the Gambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.

As part of our presentation, we got everyone to play Armenian flag beetle (don’t ask) and invited everyone to test their knowledge in the Armenia quiz. For the final question, you have to translate the sign.  Hint: If you don’t know what this says, you can’t do it.  See below for the answers!

We got up to lots of other things too, but I'll be back another time to talk about those.  In the mean time though, our flights are back and we're thinking programme planning.

P.S. It says: I can read Armenian.
